C A C O D INC. Consumer Advisory Council the Disabled Inc. CACOD is a non-profit organization, advocating for and representing all individuals with disabilities (mental and physical) and groups of people with disabilities in broad areas of interest and concerns. They include but are not limited to economic security, education, employment, housing, social, recreational, transportation, and the maintenance of physical and emotional well-being.

In accordance with its mission, CACOD established the Monmouth and Ocean County Independent Living Center (MOCEANS) in all aspects of operation. MOCEANS is now independant of CACOD.

The CACOD Board of Directors is composed of several community-minded people who volunteer their time and talent. They are: Rhoda Yucht, Doris Fader, Gerry Gironda, Nolan Higgins, Jim Karaman, Marc LeVine, Brian Mason, Len Nachbar, William Sirnack, and Diane Talbot.
